The Incubator helps create and grow businesses, fosters entrepreneurship, and trains both entrepreneurs and their employees in the business and professional skills they need for success. It provides general and targeted business advice and training which is transferable to many situations.
Supportive Environment
The Incubator makes available office space at sub-market rates. It offers opportunities for individual and multidisciplinary professional team consulting and Rutgers student intern participation, as well as access to shared conference space, printers, copiers, faxes, internet services, peer counseling, technology advice, and a number of other amenities.
Professional Referrals
The Incubator maintains a roster of "preferred" service providers with proven experience in assisting start-up companies, that includes accountants and attorneys, as well as professionals from fields such as human resources, marketing, risk management, information technology and other business services fields. It also offers access to the resources of the Rutgers’ scientific and technology communities.
Access to Capital
The Incubator maintains relationships with a broad array of investors and funding sources including Angel Investors, Venture Capital Firms, Banks and Commercial Lenders. As clients’ businesses grow and mature, the Incubator works to introduce Clients to appropriate funding resources.
The Client’s Role
The success of the Incubator’s support services and resource programs greatly depends upon the proactive efforts taken by each Client. Active participation in Incubator programs and sustained engagement with Incubator management will greatly increase the value of each Client's business relationship with the Incubator and the Client’s ability to access the full array of resources and professional services the Incubator has to offer.
